WHAT'S ON

Gold Coast Table Tennis COVID-19 Re-opening

The Club is re-open for the below social sessions.

Opening times will be as usual but divided into two sessions with a maximum of 20 players per session allowed in the centre.

Bookings essential. The first priority will be given to current GCTTA members.

Singles play only. No doubles - to comply with social distancing laws.

As there will be only 2 players allowed on each table it is suggested that members arrange their own hitting partner.

If we have sufficient players from each division wanting to come on their usual night it may be possible to arrange sessions with players of the same ability, which would allow rotation of players between tables.

SOCIAL SESSION TIMES

                                           Session 1                       Session 2

Monday to Thursday      6.00pm to 8pm                8.00pm to 10pm

Saturday                         10.00am to 12.30pm        12.30pm to 3pm

Sunday                            10.00am to 2pm

To reserve a place: email admin@goldcoasttabletennis.org.au , stating the name, day, date, session and number of participants. Alternatively contact the Centre Manager on 0433 479 188.

Limit of 3 sessions per week. Members can book a week in advance. If there are spots left, non-members can book the day before.

Private coaching can resume outside of the social session times.

We envisage this process to be in effect up until QLD Govt easing restrictions to Stage 3 (currently scheduled for 10 July).

We intend to recommence squad coaching and fixtures once Stage 3 of easing restrictions comes into effect.

To comply with Government requirements for this easing of restrictions we must follow all Covid-19 safety protocols including:

Maintain social distancing
Safe hygiene - wash your hands often (before and after play) thoroughly with antibacterial hand wash, soap and water, or alcohol based sanitiser. Hand sanitiser will be available at the centre. Wipe down all equipment after use.
Bring your own water bottle and towel (you can purchase drinks from the reception)
Bring your own table tennis equipment. No bats or balls for hire will be available at the moment. (you can purchase balls and equipment at the centre)
To avoid cross contamination, players are not to allowed to wipe their hands on the tables, exchange balls/bats, shake hands, hug, kiss etc. Please limit play to players within your own group.

If feeling sick or unwell, do not visit the centre.

Thank you and Take care.
