GOLD COAST TABLE TENNIS NEWSLETTER FOR JULY 2010 Monday 26 July 2010 The great news is that our club has been able to have the Taraflex flooring put down in the extension! Our Club did not receive any of the grants that we were hoping for to pay for it, but by a minor miracle the committee were able to have the flooring completed. Over the next three weeks we have some important events coming up: * Qld Veterans, 31 Jul - 2 Aug GOLD COAST * Official Opening of the extension, 14 August * Gold Coast Open, 14 -15 August These events raise substantial sums for the repayment of loans, so it is essential that our club be in showroom condition. We are having a WORKING BEE at the Club this Friday: 30th July, 11:30 am. Please come along and help out! The committee and others have worked very hard to have the extension built, now is a time to give something back that will boost our club. If members of the Friday morning social group could stay back and help, that would be great for getting some cleaning-up done. Please do what you can. A lot of our members are at work on Friday, so if you are available, please come and help. Thanking you for your participation.

Begins 20 April 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm Coach: Cathy Townsend Level 2 NCAS, AASC Coach For juniors from beginner level to advanced level, train in a fun & friendly squad atmosphere, learn how to play the sport of table tennis and improve your game. Fee: $10 Note: Juniors under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a parent. Bring along your bat, towel, water bottle, non-marking shoes and remember to have fun. QLD RANKINGS 2009 |
