| VENUE: | Tallebudgera Active Recreation Centre
1525 Gold Coast Highway,
North Palm Beach, Queensland. Phone 07 5507 0200; email from website
website: Tallebudgera Leisure Centre |
| AIR TRAVEL |
The Gold Coast has its own airport, with many flights daily from Sydney, Melbourne, and some flights from nearby (100 km)Brisbane.
Please note: not all flights land at Gold Coast Airport, (sometimes called Coolangatta Airport). The Gold Coast airport is located about 5km from the venue, buses and taxis available from the airport.
If your plane lands at Brisbane airport (the next closest large airport) then you can easily catch a bus to the Gold Coast. |
| ROAD TRAVEL |
From Brisbane it is a one hour drive via the M1 freeway, turn off at Reedy Creek Rd (exit 85), down to Burleigh Heads, turn right along
Highway 2 (the Gold Coast Highway) for aprox 2km. The venue is on your left, immediately you cross the bridge at Tallebudgera Creek.
FROM SYDNEY it is aproximately 1000 km by the Pacific Highway. From Melbourne aproximately 2,000 km via Pacific Highway. Air travel can be cheaper than a long road trip and overnight stops. |
| WHERE TO STAY |
There is a wide range of accommodation available very close to the Venue - from Caravan Parks to 5 Star Apartments. Any search of "Palm Beach, Queensland" will give you a wide range to choose from.

| WHERE TO EAT |
Snacks, hot and cold meals, can be bought from the playing venue.
The PALM BEACH SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB, is about 5 minutes walk away, where you can also buy hot meals, cold snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
If you walk (1.5km) or get a taxi to Burleigh Heads, you will find, a hotel, surf club, about 10 restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, bowls club, and even a nice place on the beach to sit and eat fish and chips. |
| WHERE TO RELAX |
The beach is two minutes walk away. Please be aware that people who were not swimming in the area of the beach marked by flags have drowned in the past. Do not swim at night, do not swim if you are not in condition to drive. Thousands of people swim at Gold Coast beaches every day without mishap, between the flags. When the yellow-red flags are displayed on the beach, lifesavers are on duty.
